TYPES OF KIT - listed by wall and floor type

1. Concrete floors - must be flat - Slimline for direct carpeting or boarding on smooth concrete or screed - 2mm thick - click

Only 2mm thick, for damp floor covering, ready to directly  lay carpet

2. Concrete, sand 'blinded' hardcore or compacted earth floors - concrete, screed or board directly onto the membrane - 8mm thick - click

Tough, easy to join Kontract Membrane is ideal under concrete, or used on top of damp concrete floors ready for boarding

3. Brick walls, block walls and drillable stone walls - plaster directly on the membrane - 8mm thick membrane - click

Mesh Membrane ready for plastering in minutes - permanent damp wall protection.

4. Brick walls and uniform block or drillable stone walls - must be flat - fix plasterboard directly to the membrane with 'dabs' of adhesive - 8mm thick membrane - click

5. Brick walls, block walls and drillable stone walls - plaster directly on the membrane - 3mm thick membrane - click

Slimline wall membrane - easy to plaster or plasterboard

6. Brick walls and uniform block or drillable stone walls - must be flat - fix plasterboard directly to the membrane with 'dabs' of adhesive - 3mm thick membrane - click

Slimline wall membrane - easy to plaster or plasterboard

7. Brick walls and uniform block or drillable stone walls - must be flat - fix plasterboard onto wooden battens screwed to the hollow plug heads - 8mm thick membrane - click - or for rough walls use without plugs and battens, fixing via an inner stud frame.

Kontract Membrane  takes battens , insulation  and plasterboard. Fast fix for a much warmer wall.

(Note - with Type 7 Kits you can easily fit low cost insulation between the battens, before fixing your boards, for even greater warmth)


1. For flooring - direct lay to smooth, flat concrete or screed - Slimline Floorseal Membrane (only 2mm thick)

Kit Specification - roll width 1metre, includes single sided fibre faced jointing tape, for butt joints, to leave ultra smooth joins for direct carpeting if desired.

Only 2mm thick, for damp floor covering, ready to directly  lay carpet

Full rolls 2 metres wide are also available.

Kits include tape for butt jointing. Allow in your area calculation for a turn up around the walls, to protect your flooring material edge from wall contact. You can either lay timber boarding panels first, or just underlay (thick felt type recommended) and then carpet directly to the membrane.

Kit Specification - roll width 1 metre, includes mastic rope or double sided jointing tape, for overlapping joints.

3. For brick walls, block walls and drillable stone walls - directly plaster onto the membrane - Mesh Membrane (only 8mm thick)

Kit Specification - roll width 1 metre, includes 25 plugs per square metre, plug sealing mastic rope, double sided membrane jointing tape (not included in the 6 square metre kit) for overlapping joints.

Mesh Membrane ready for plastering in minutes - permanent damp wall protection.

4. For flat brick, block or uniform stone walls - plasterboard on adhesive 'dabs' directly onto the membrane - Mesh Membrane (only 8mm thick)

Kit Specification - roll width 1 metre, includes 15 plugs per square metre, plug sealing mastic rope, double sided membrane jointing tape (not included in the 6 square metre kit), for overlapping joints.

Mesh Membrane ready for plastering in minutes - permanent damp wall protection.

Full rolls 2 metres wide are also available.

7. For flat brick, block or stone walls - fit plasterboard over insulation between wooden battens - Kontract Membrane (8mm thick) or use a wooden 'stud' frame to hold the membrane against the wall.

Kit Specification - roll width 1 metre, includes plugs, plug seals, double sided membrane jointing tape, for overlapping joints.

Kontract Membrane  takes battens , insulation  and plasterboard. Fast fix for a much warmer wall.

Use standard 9mm or 12.5mm plasterboard, then a skim finish - adds a minimum of 15mm to the thickness of the membrane, plus the wooden batten - the battens should equal your insulation thickness - say 1 inch (25mm) - they screw onto the hollow plug heads.
